Melanie Hancock
General Presbyter
As an ordained elder, Melanie has served this Presbytery since July of 1993 and was installed as the General Presbyter in April of 2019. Melanie resources Presbytery commissions and committees and other entities as they carry-out their responsibilities and provides support to our Pastors and our congregations. In her daily ministry, she strives to strengthen and develop relationships with and between churches, pastors, elders and lay leaders throughout the Presbytery.
Robert Fraiser
Stated Clerk
Bob was ordained by the Presbytery of Pueblo (Colorado) as a teaching elder and received as a member of the Presbytery of Northern Kansas in 1980. Since then he has served as pastor of four churches in PNK and was granted honorably retired status in 2021. He was elected as the Stated Clerk of PNK in 2016 and continues in this part-time position. He and his wife, Rhoda, have made their retirement home in Chapman near their daughter and her family. In addition to the usual constitutional responsibilities of the stated clerk of a presbytery, Bob seeks to be a support to and resource for the clerks of session serving the 59 churches of PNK.
Amanda Littell
Program and Resource Center Coordinator
Amanda is a Salina native and member of FPC/Salina since elementary school. She is a graduate of KU and UMKC and lives outside of Salina on Cedar Hill Farm with her husband Charles. She spends time in their large garden with their animals, which includes cats, dogs, and lot of chickens!
Amanda maintains materials in our PNK Resource Center and online at the PNK website for the purpose of providing program resources to the churches of PNK. And, she is available to visit with program leaders from our congregations or schedule times for planners or planning teams to meet in the PNK Resource Center to review materials onsite. Amanda will serve as primary staff to the Presbytery's Resource Center Committee, Mission Ministry Team, Youth Ministries Committee, and Christian Education Forum.
Gail Frazier
Executive Administrative Assistant
Gail is a Salina native. Her son Cain, his wife Myia and granddaughter Vae live outside of Lansing, Kansas. Gail's family also includes her yorkie, Lucy. In Gail's spare time she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and working in the yard.
Gail will be your initial point of contact when contacting the presbytery office. She provides support to our General Presbyter and Stated Clerk, assists in daily office needs and manages our general administrative activities. Gail works to ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our virtual office.
Kathleen Pierson
Treasurer
Kathleen has lived in Salina for 43 years, 40 of them with her husband, Bill. The last few years in retirement have been spent recreating a recently purchased house and gardens. Prior to that, Kathleen was a bookkeeper/ administrative assistant for Wilson-Murrow and Bill was an educator for USD 305. Kathleen was elected as the Treasurer of the Presbytery of Northern Kansas effective May 1, 2024. She also serves as the bookkeeper for the First Presbyterian Church of Salina and says she is thankful for the opportunity to step out of retirement and begin a new chapter!
